What Is The Matalan Return Policy?
According to Matalan return policy, you may return your purchased products by 1 of 2 ways (whether they were purchased in store or online):
- Return online – via royal mail.
- Return to one of Matalan stores.
Items should be returned with the original proof of purchase (receipt or invoice).
The returned items should be unworn, in a re-salable condition, with all tags and labels attached, and including undamaged packaging.
How Many Days Do I Have To Return A Matalan Product?
For online orders, Matalan offer refunds within 14 days from receiving date.
How Do I Return Items Bought in Store?
You can check for a Matalan store near you in this store locator.
(During Covid time it is preferable that you check if store is open).
Note that Matalan does not accept returns to the clearance stores.
How Do I Return Matalan Items Bought Online?
You can return your online orders to a Matalan store, or return it using Royal post.
In any case, don’t forget to bring the invoice from your online package with you.
Once refund processed, (in 14 days) you will receive an email with a confirmation.
What is The Procedure For An Online Return?

In addition to the returned items in the original condition, parcel should include the delivery note (with the returns section completed, including the reason for return).
Do Matalan Pay For The Return Shipments?
You will have to pay for the return costs, unless the reason for return is damaged items received.
When Will I Get My Refund?
According to Matalan return policy, you should expect 14 days for your refund to be proccessed.
You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed.
How Will The Matalan Refund Be Issued?

I Payed Using a Gift Card. How Will I Be Refunded?
If your payment was made using Matalan gift card, a refund card or an e-gift card, you will be refunded to the original card.

Does My Item Qualify For A Refund?
All items must be in a re-saleable condition i.e. undamaged, in their original and undamaged packaging, unworn and complete with all tags and labels attached.
I Lost My Receipt. Can I Still Return The Goods?
Your Goods can be returned without your original receipt, however:
Without the receipt you will be exchanged or refunded in refund cards/vouchers only, at the last known selling price.
I received A Gift Voucher. Is it refundable?
Gift vouchers are non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

I Bought The Item I wish To Return For A Discounted Price. How Will I Be Refunded?
According to Matalan return policy, if you return a single item that was bought as part of a multi-buy discount (example: 2 for £30) you will be refunded the full price of the product, deducting the discount given.
If you return all the items purchased within the multi-buy sale, you’ll be fully refunded.
What Are The Exceptions to The Matalan Refund Policy?
Matalan’s website details a list of exception (while stating that there might be others as well).
The below will not be replaced or refunded unless packaging is returned unopened and undamaged, due to reasons of health, hygiene safety or copyright.
- Pierced earrings
- Hair accessories
- Duvet covers
- Underwear and shapewear (in the interest of hygiene please do not remove briefs when trying on garments)
- Control wear
- Swimwear (unless the hygiene strips and tags are still in place)
